A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Would you like to be paid while you develop your administration skills and gain a qualification whilst working in an NHS setting? If so, this might be just what you are looking for.
We are delighted to offer an apprenticeship for an Apprentice Receptionist Administrator in our Paediatric Day Unit (PDU). PDU is a combined outpatient clinic and six‑bed day admissions unit for children under the care of the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology department. Children from birth up to 16 years of age will attend for appointments and procedures that require a bed for their day‑cares but do not need to stay overnight.

As an Apprentice Receptionist Administrator, you will be the first face visitors see. You will provide a friendly welcome on arrival to the clinic, check in and update patient details. Other duties include booking appointments on the Trust systems (EPIC, eRS), maintaining medical records, communicating with internal and external colleagues and patients via email, telephone and face‑to‑face and supporting the team in completing general administration tasks.
