An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join our Safeguarding Team here at Whiston Hospital.
(Hours are required to be worked over 5 days Mon-Friday)
Main duties of the job
To provide administrative support to the Maternity Safeguarding Practitioners, based within the Safeguarding Children Team. The role of the team is to ensure that safeguarding processes are followed where necessary for women, children and unborn infants accessing maternity services. Additional administrative support will be provided to the wider safeguarding team.

Providing adult community services for St Helens and a wheelchair service in Chorley, South Ribble, and West Lancashire. Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation, freeing up space for more unwell patients. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional Services
We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
Manage invites to safeguarding meetings ensuring attendance by allocated midwife.
Update and manage electronic calendars.
Create and manage spreadsheets to collate relevant data.
Add safeguarding information to electronic patient records
General filing duties and clerical support
Adding and maintaining alerts on the electronic patient records
Collate information required for multi-agency meetings
Answering telephone calls and passing information to the safeguarding team
Capture relevant data and maintain databases
Support the Team in maintaining Safeguarding training compliance
