<p>Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) RecruitED People</p><ul><li>Smart recruitment for real education.</li></ul><p>Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) Location: Birmingham & West Midlands Salary: £150 - £250 per day (Salary dependent on experience and assignment type) Contract Type Full-Time | Part-Time | Temporary | Permanent Opportunities Available About the Role RecruitED People are currently recruiting passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapists to support children and young people across SEN schools, specialist provisions and mainstream educational settings throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands.</p><p>This role involves supporting students with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), helping them to develop confidence, communication skills and independence both inside and outside of the classroom environment.</p><p>You will work collaboratively with education staff, parents and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions and personalised support strategies that positively impact student progress and wellbeing.</p><p>Because education now requires teachers to differentiate lessons, regulate behaviour, support trauma, manage attendance and somehow also become communication specialists overnight.</p><p>The system survives largely because specialist staff quietly hold the entire structure together with coloured visuals and patience bordering on supernatural.</p><p>Key Responsibilities Assessing students with speech, language and communication needs Delivering targeted speech and language interventions Developing individual communication strategies and support plans Supporting students with ASD, SEMH and additional learning needs Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams Providing advice and guidance to school staff and parents Supporting students with social communication and emotional regulation Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records and reports Promoting safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing at all times Requirements Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification HCPC registration essential Experience working with children or young people preferred Knowledge of SEN, ASD and communication difficulties desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to work in the UK Ideal Experience We welcome applicants with experience in: SEN Schools Mainstream Education Autism Support Early Years Intervention Alternative Provision Community or Clinical Settings EHCP Support & Reviews What RecruitED People Offer Competitive daily rates Flexible working opportunities Long-term and permanent roles available Dedicated consultant support Opportunities across specialist and mainstream settings Ongoing safeguarding and compliance support</p><p>Jobs are provided by the Find a Job Service from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).</p>
