Recruitment Consultant Resourcer – Public Practice Accountancy Location: Sheffield (Hybrid) Type: Full-Time | Flexible Hours
About Us
We are a boutique recruitment agency based in Sheffield, specialising exclusively in Public Practice Accountancy firms across Yorkshire. We work with firms of all sizes, placing accountancy professionals at every level — from newly qualified through to senior leadership.
We do things differently here. Relationship-building is at the heart of everything we do. You won't find us blasting out generic LinkedIn posts or firing off mass emails to thousands of people. We take the time to truly understand both our candidates and our clients, and we believe that's what sets us apart.
The Role
This is a candidate-focused recruitment consultant position, supporting the owner of the business directly. This is not a sales-heavy role — your primary responsibility will be identifying, engaging, and building meaningful relationships with accountancy professionals across Yorkshire.
You will be the first point of contact for many candidates on their career journey, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every candidate we work with is met face to face, giving us a genuine understanding of their ambitions, values, and what the right next step looks like for them.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Proactively sourcing and identifying candidates within the Public Practice accountancy space
2. Reaching out to candidates in a thoughtful, personalised way — quality over quantity, always
3. Conducting face-to-face candidate meetings to build strong, lasting relationships
4. Developing a deep understanding of each candidate's career goals and motivations
5. Maintaining and growing a candidate network across Yorkshire
6. Supporting the business owner with day-to-day recruitment activity
7. Keeping accurate and up-to-date candidate records
What We're Looking For
8. Experience in recruitment, resourcing, or a candidate-facing role (experience in accountancy or professional services recruitment would be a bonus, but is not essential)
9. A genuine people person who values conversation over automation
10. Someone who takes pride in doing things properly, not just quickly
11. Comfortable working independently in a small, close-knit team
12. Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload
13. Happy to travel across Yorkshire for candidate meetings when required
What's On Offer
14. Hybrid working — a mix of home and office
15. Flexible start and finish times
16. The chance to genuinely make a role your own within a growing boutique agency
17. Direct exposure to all areas of the business, working closely with the owner
18. A supportive, non-corporate environment where your work actually makes a difference

If this sounds like the kind of role you've been looking for — one where relationships matter more than metrics — we'd love to hear from you.
