Job Description
3. Cashbook reconciliation for multiple bank accounts and balance sheet reconciliations using Excel spreadsheets
4. Processing and coding credit card transactions and personal expense claims
5. Maintaining fixed asset register
6. Raising manual invoices
7. Making payments
8. Processing journals
9. Monthly Intrastat and EC Sales,
10. Accounting for accruals and prepayments,
11. Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
12. Liaising with credit controller
13. Assisting with preparation for year end
14. Ad hoc accounts payable queries as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
15. A degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
16. Proven experience in a similar role
17. Understanding of principles and practices of basic accounting
18. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
19. Strong organisational and time-management skills
20. Attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers
