An established and fast-growing food manufacturer in the Lancashire area is looking to appoint a Planning Coordinator to support production planning within a short shelf-life FMCG environment.
This role would suit someone with experience in production planning, supply chain coordination, or manufacturing planning who enjoys working in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting and collaborating closely with operations, technical, and commercial teams.
The Role
As Planning Coordinator, you’ll support short- and medium-term production planning to ensure customer demand is met while minimising waste and managing shelf-life constraints. You’ll play a key role in maintaining service levels, food safety compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support daily and weekly production planning for short shelf-life products
2. Create and maintain detailed production schedules, considering shelf life, allergens, changeovers, and capacity
3. Coordinate plans with Production, Technical, Engineering, and Procurement teams
4. Monitor labour, line capacity, and material availability to reduce downtime and late changes
