We are proud to be in partnership with some of the most qualified and experienced Consultants, along with dedicated staff who are highly trained and pride themselves on maintaining the About the role As Head of Clinical Services at Oaklands Hospital, you will work in close partnership with the Hospital Director as an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and provide overall clinical direction and assists with operational management across all clinical service areas and meet the business and workforce objectives of Oaklands Hospital Ltd. The Head of Clinical Services is professionally accountable for the provision of strong clinical leadership, ensuring there is a robust clinical governance framework in place within the facility and for providing a safe environment and processes for patients. You will support this by driving clinical quality, monitoring patient outcomes and creating a learning culture to improve clinical practice. With a strong focus on delivery of performance measures whilst maintaining clinical practice standards, you will work collaboratively with all teams throughout the hospital to meet the strategic objective of becoming an Orthopaedic Centre of Excellence. About you We are looking for an individual with an unfaltering dedication to quality and who is determined to provide the best possible care for our patients, aligning with the Ramsay Healthcare’s motto ‘People Caring for People’. With a strong clinical background in acute surgical/medical care, you will be NMC or HCPC Registered. You will have significant exposure in a senior clinical role to external stakeholders such as Consultants and the wider health care community and experience of working in a surgical environment. Expert knowledge of clinical governance, development and administration of budgets, management reports and supply contracts is required, and the ability to provide effective monitoring and management of resources needed to sustain agreed activity levels. You will have experience of leading clinically based projects and develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders including Integrated Care Systems, General Practitioners, Consultants and Suppliers. A proven track record of leadership and ability to manage a team, ensuring that the Hospital complies with CQC requirements is essential, with a comprehensive understanding of relevant legal and professional care/practice standards. We require you to be competent to provide effective monitoring and management of the clinical services with excellent communication and rapport building skills and the ability to make decisions using your own initiative. You will be passionate about delivering outstanding care in a rewarding and what can be emotionally challenging environment and approach situations with a flexible and positive attitude.
