Band 4: £28,392 - £31,157 per annum
Employment Status and Hours
Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Permanent
Work Schedule
Early shift: 8am – 4pm
Late shift: 11am – 7pm
Includes 1 Saturday per month and full participation in weekend on‑call rota (4pm Saturday – 8am Monday).
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise technicians and participate in operational aspects of the department.
* Perform full range of decontamination duties.
* Manage decontamination records in own area of work.
* Provide a high‑quality, timely service to all customers.
* Ensure departmental SOPs are adhered to by all healthcare staff in accordance with Quality Management Systems.
* Plan own workload and work with minimal supervision.
* Supervise a team in the HSDU Department to achieve team objectives.
Key Qualifications
* Recent HSDU experience.
* Familiarity with operational aspects of a Quality Management System.
* Holding an e‑learning qualification in decontamination.
* Completion of an introduction certificate in team leading.
