Main Responsibility
1. Operate company HGVs safely and efficiently between sites
2. Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
3. Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries
4. Manage the movement and yard coordination of full and empty containers/trailers
5. Adhere to Transport Operating Licence requirements and company procedures
6. Comply with all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Customs & Excise legislation
7. Follow ISO, BRC, and HMRC standards and report any non-conformances
8. Liaise with internal teams including Despatch, Loading, and Vat Hall Coordinators
9. Contribute to team meetings, continuous improvement activities, and problem-solving initiatives
10. Work collaboratively with colleagues and support team performance objectives
Our Ideal Candidate
11. Valid HGV licence (Class 1 or 2)
12. Valid ADR Class 3 Licence required.
13. Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
14. Good understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements
15. Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
16. Good communication and teamwork skills
