Telent's Network Services division is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team in Southampton. This role offers an opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development with exposure to challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will build and enhance relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and bridging the engineering team with Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - What you’ll do:
* Train internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
* Monitor customer incidents and report on nominated accounts.
* Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
* Manage documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
* Adhere to internal and external processes regarding task allocation, completion, and reporting.
* Assist with Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
* Create relevant documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
* Perform peer reviews of technical documentation.
* Assist in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
* Attend customer meetings as required.
* Ensure accurate and timely timesheet submissions.
* Maintain certifications aligned with role and objectives.
* Complete overtime and expenses accurately.
* Adhere to GDPR and security policies.
Cloud Engineer - Who you are:
The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange, with support experience in medium to large support environments and on-premise Cloud Services experience.
* VCP 6.x-DCV (desirable)
* MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
* Networking Concepts knowledge
* Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above, including clustering and availability groups
* Azure MFA and Identity Services
* Microsoft System Configuration Manager
* Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 or above
* VMware vCloud Director knowledge
* Leadership qualities and a proactive attitude
* Strong work ethic, trust-building, and collaborative skills
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Excellent communication skills
* Problem-solving passion
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
