Overview
To provide a statutory Social Work Service in accordance with relevant legislation and national and local guidelines. The role includes case management responsibilities, assessing service users’ needs and risks using accredited risk assessment tools, following Service procedures, and delivering direct interventions to individuals where required. The role involves participating in structured supervision sessions and representing the Social Work Service in multi-disciplinary forums. This work is in accordance with the Council or hosted stakeholder's arrangements, through a formal Partnership arrangement with the Scottish Prison Service (SPS).
Responsibilities
* Provide statutory Social Work services in line with legislation and guidelines.
* Assume case management responsibilities, assess service users’ needs and risks using accredited tools, follow Service procedures, and deliver direct interventions as required.
* Participate in structured consultation/supervision sessions as required.
* Represent the Social Work Service in multi-disciplinary forums.
* Operate in accordance with Partnership arrangements with the Scottish Prison Service (SPS).
