Configuration Manager
Job Overview
As a Configuration Manager, you’ll be at the heart of one of the UK’s most exciting defence programmes supporting the Patria 6×6 armoured personnel carrier vehicle initiative. You will lead configuration management across the programme, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and drive continuous improvement to ensure successful delivery.
Responsibilities
* Lead the establishment and maintenance of configuration baselines across programmes.
* Manage engineering change control processes including Change Requests, Notices, and Control Boards.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure consistent CM practices.
* Maintain accurate configuration records and ensure traceability of requirements and design changes.
* Drive continuous improvement in configuration management processes and tools.
Essential Experience
* Significant experience in configuration management within defence, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
* Proficiency with CM tools such as Windchill, Teamcenter, or similar PLM systems.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Proven ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams.
* Experience in lifecycle management and engineering change control.
Qualifications
* Degree in engineering, information systems, or a related technical discipline.
* Strong understanding of CM principles and standards (e.g., ISO 10007, DEF STAN 05‑57).
