We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Home Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our care home. This is a key leadership role where you will be accountable for delivering high-quality care, ensuring compliance, and promoting a positive and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Purpose of Position:
* To be responsible to the Registered Provider for the day-to-day running of the home.
* To be accountable for the home's operations and activities.
* To ensure the home operates according to its registration status and conditions and complies with all legal requirements.
* To manage the home to achieve the best possible outcomes for its service users.
* To keep service users safe and well protected at all times.
* To develop, promote, and maintain high standards of care and best practice.
* To act as an ambassador for the home, promoting and marketing its services to the wider community.
* To ensure the home remains financially viable and sustainably managed.
* To ensure that all staff are informed about and work to the Codes of Practice for social care and (where applicable) nursing professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the care home.
* Ensure high standards of care are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice.
* Create a culture that promotes person-centred care and supports residents' individual needs.
* Oversee and support the performance of all staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
* Chair and participate in regular management meetings to assess service delivery and operational needs.
* Take full responsibility for on-call and 'Duty Manager' duties, shared as necessary with other senior staff.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Strong IT and clerical skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to undertake all required in-house training.
* Must hold or be working towards a Level 5 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification required for registration).
