The Role - Quantity Surveyor
Due to expansion and further growth our client is seeking an experienced commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join their team. this role offers the opportunity to manage the financial and contractual aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring commercial success while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing subcontract procurement from tender through to award
Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation
Cost planning and budget management
Managing subcontractor payments, valuations, and variations
Monitoring project costs and reporting to senior management
Supporting with monthly CVRs and financial reporting
Managing risk and ensuring contractual compliance
Contributing to final account negotiationsEducation, Skills and Experience:
Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in BSc Quantity Surveying & Construction Management Proven experience working for a main contractor (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred).
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT and/or NEC).
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Commercially aware with strong analytical capability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial management software
