As our newest Assistant Outlet Manager, you will support the Outlet Manager in the day-to-day running of the Temple Newsam Play Barn, including a retail outlet, café, and indoor play area. Your responsibilities will include staff supervision, customer relations, and assisting in health and safety management. You will contribute to creating offers and menus, working with the Outlet Manager to deliver an excellent visitor experience that encourages both new and repeat visits.
You will also assist in providing flexible management and high-quality catering and retail/hospitality services at outlets managed by the Climate, Energy, and Greenspaces service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in managing a café and retail/facility operations.
2. Order and control stocks required for operations.
3. Assist with menu compilation and costings.
4. Support day-to-day staff management.
5. Help with budget control and financial management, including cash handling, in accordance with Local Authority regulations.
6. Plan and organize daily outlet operations.
7. Ensure customer focus and provide efficient, polite service.
8. Administer first aid as required.
9. Assist in managing health and safety processes to meet statutory regulations.
10. Deputize for the Outlet Manager in their absence.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Level 3 First Aid qualification (to be obtained within six months of appointment).
* Understanding of Leeds City Council values, behaviors, and policies.

* Willingness to participate in training and development.
