Join us as a Teaching Assistant (TA) at a welcoming SEND school located in a central area of Leeds. Starting on September 4th, 2024, you’ll work alongside dedicated educators, shaping the learning journey for all students.
We are looking for a SEN TA with experience in classroom support and supporting learners with special educational needs. Key qualities include familiarity with the national Key Stage Curriculum, understanding of child development and learning, excellent communication skills, adaptability, empathy, and dedication to promoting equal opportunities.
Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Ensuring student safety and facilitating access to learning activities.
2. Contributing to education and behaviour plans.
3. Encouraging inclusivity and embracing diversity.
4. Setting high expectations for student achievement.
5. Providing feedback on student progress.
6. Upholding child protection policies.
7. Assisting with supervision outside of class.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Experience working with vulnerable children and young people with additional learning needs, in educational or residential settings.
2. Proficiency in spoken and written English.
3. Legal right to work in the UK.
