Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse (Orthopaedic Specialist)
Job Type: Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who excels in the theatre environment and has a keen interest in orthopaedics. This role is based in a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in Wanstead, Redbridge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in orthopaedic surgeries in a full-time capacity (40 hours per week).
* Work alongside an orthopaedic surgeon to ensure an efficient and streamlined patient journey.
* Provide support in other areas of the theatre when the surgeon is not operating.
* Work on a rota that includes an average of 1 in 4 weekends with Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) and up to 3 bank holidays per year.

* The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse who thrives in theatre, particularly when assisting in orthopaedic surgeries.

About the Hospital:
The hospital is equipped with a new CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, and a strong medical team, with experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery. You will be working alongside a large team consisting of approximately 24 vets, 27 RVNs, 14 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), 7 Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs), and a large front-of-house team who are integral in maintaining excellent client care.

Wanstead is located on the outskirts of leafy Essex but has quick and direct transport links that take you straight into all areas of London. With a bustling café and restaurant culture, you will never be short of places to visit for a treat.
Salary and Benefits:
* A competitive salary band of £31,000 to £35,000 p/a, depending on prior experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
* 6.6 weeks of annual leave, including bank holidays.
