Avid Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of their client based in Welshpool for an experienced HR & Safety Advisor to play a key role within their manufacturing operation.
This is a varied and hands-on position with a primary focus on leading the HR function, providing expert HR advice and guidance across the business, while also offering structure, mentoring and support.
Alongside HR responsibilities, the role will have a secondary focus on Health & Safety, supporting the QHSE Manager with day-to-day safety tasks, compliance and improvement projects within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR (Primary Focus):
* Lead and manage day-to-day HR operations
* Provide professional HR advice on employee relations, performance management, disciplinaries and absence
* Develop and improve HR processes, policies and procedures
* Support, guide and develop the HR Assistant
* Ensure HR compliance with employment legislation and best practice
Health & Safety (Secondary Focus):
* Support the QHSE Manager with safety initiatives and projects
* Assist with risk assessments, audits and incident investigations
* Help promote a strong health & safety culture across the site
* Ensure ongoing compliance within a manufacturing environment
The Ideal Candidate:
* Solid HR Advisory/Generalist experience within a fast-paced environment
* Strong understanding of HR best practice and employment law
* Experience working within manufacturing or similar operational environments
* Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
* CIPD qualified (essential)
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent safety experience (desirable)
* Confident, proactive and able to work collaboratively across teams
