Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC machinery and will be responsible for creating precise and efficient programmes for our manufacturing processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and optimise online CNC programmes for Turning Operations
* Operate CNC machines and ensure they are set up correctly for production runs.
* Conduct materials handling to ensure efficient workflow and inventory management.
* Assemble components as required, adhering to quality standards.
* Utilise basic maths skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications.
* Troubleshoot issues with machinery and programmes, implementing solutions promptly.
* Work with logic controllers to enhance machine performance and reliability.
* Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition using hand tools as necessary.
* Collaborate with engineering teams using SolidWorks for design modifications and tooling requirements.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
* Learn and Operate new machinery as the company require.
* Will be required to adjust machine settings when required.
* Monitor the machine for problems and report to management.
* Follow quality procedures and inspection frequencies.
* Monitor coolant levels and top up when required.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
* Follow company safe working procedures.
Experience
* Proven experience in CNC programming, particularly within the fastener environment
* Familiarity with materials handling processes within a manufacturing setting
* Proficient in a variety of materials including exotic alloys
* Experience working with tooling and hand tools
* Strong logical reasoning skills to effectively troubleshoot machinery issues.
