Job overview
Due to the current post holder retiring, we are looking to recruit a new member to our team. The Digital Health Records team is a 24 hour service. During the out of hours a range of duties are completed including providing an admission service for some of our inpatient areas and a patient location enquiry service, handling calls from the general public and other organisations. T
This is an interesting opportunity for enthusiastic and conscientious individuals who have proven office administration and IT skills. The role requires excellent communication skills, and attention to detail is paramount. Post holders must be strong team players who can work efficiently with colleagues within the DHR team, whilst liaising with staff from all departments across the wider hospital.
Main duties of the job

Admissions – updating the Trusts IT systems with admission information.
Public Enquiries – handling telephone calls regarding the location of patients.
Release of information – provision of paper or digital case notes to NUH and other organisations.

* GSCE A-C Grades or Equivalent
* Computer literate and competent in the use of MS Office products: Word, Outlook and Excel

* Demonstrates ability to convey confidential information with sensitivity and discretion and in accordance with Trust’s Code of Confidentiality at all times
Experience
* Experience of working in a team
* Experience of customer service skills
* Previous NHS experience
Analytical and Judgement Skills
* Has a good level of analytical and problem solving skills
* Remain calm under pressure of tight deadlines
* Make judgements and decisions in the absence of more senior supervisors/managers.

* To cover additional shifts out of hours if already working evening/night/weekend shifts as part of the out of hour’s team or volunteer from day shift if appropriate.
