Role Overview
As Resident Medical Officer, you will provide on‑call and day shift cover for Cygnet Harrow.
Cygnet Hospital Harrow is a 43‑bed recovery‑focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems. We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and dual diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder.
The multidisciplinary team (MDT) staff are actively encouraged and supported to complete Quality Improvement Projects to continually improve the quality of care we provide.
There are excellent opportunities to progress your career with support to complete MRCPsych exams.
You will cover a mix of out‑of‑hours on‑call (5pm–9am / weekends) and day shifts on the acute wards, with access to consultant advice. The role also includes three night duties covering Cygnet Harrow and Cygnet Lodge Kenton, and two day duties to cover annual leave and provide floating support.
On‑call duties are completed from home, but you must be able to come into the service as needed; therefore the ability to travel is essential.

Qualifications
* Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
* Excellent clinical decision maker with sound judgement, ability to manage risk and know when to ask for help
* Experience in psychiatry
* Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
* A first‑rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
* Committed to continued professional development
