We are working with a good secondary school in Telford who are looking to secure a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide additional support to their Pastoral Team. The role of the SEND Teaching Assistant involves setting appropriate boundaries for students who have additional behavioural needs, and may exhibit complex barriers to learning. As a result of your strength of practice you will support other staff in their development in these areas. Providing care to pupils, ensuring their safety and dealing with any problems the pupils may have Liaising with other staff members, parents/guardians and professionals Prepare letters and paperwork when needed Following GDPR & Safeguarding protocol Resilient and instinctive approach in meeting students needs Use behaviour management strategies effectively and be able to work using your own initiative while following policies and procedures High level of flexibility and will welcome the opportunity to work in different settings with different approaches to engage learners. Requirements for the role Previous experience of working as a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant.
