Competitive Salary. For 1–5 years PQE: up to £50,000 (for 1 year) and £60,000 to £65,000 (for 2–5 years).

OVERVIEW
Our client seeks an Employment Solicitor (1 to 5 years PQE). You’ll be hard‑working, outgoing, and a strong team player, ideally with experience in a city or medium‑to‑large‑sized law practice. A solid grounding in employment law is essential.
JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide effective support services to the firm. Duties will include:
* Advising on day‑to‑day HR and employment law issues
* Drafting employment contracts, policies, and staff handbooks
* Handling and advising Settlement Agreements, Redundancy Matters, and Employment Tribunal claims
* Supporting corporate transactions with employment law input (TUPE, due diligence, etc.)
* Assisting with business development, client training sessions, and marketing initiatives
* Exposure to both claimant and respondent employment work
KEY SKILLS
* Sound legal knowledge, drafting and advisory skills
* Experience of undertaking advocacy in court/chambers/tribunal setting
* Experience of presenting to an audience
* Commercial, practical and financial awareness
* Confidence and ability to communicate at senior levels
* Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills with the ability to develop contacts for the team and the firm
* Problem solving
* Strong ambition for career development
* Team player able to fit into a friendly, busy team
* Negotiation skills
* Organisational ability
* Ability to be responsible for own caseload (under supervision where relevant)
