Overview
To operate as a security officer and carry out tasks as requested by senior members of security. To operate individually on own initiative and as part of a security team. The Deputy Security Shift Leader will cover Security Shift Leader absences and act as the responsible person for a nominated team of security officers, must be able to engage staff, make decisions and have a high level of communication/interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
* Operate as a security officer and perform tasks as requested by senior security staff.
* Act on own initiative and as part of a security team.
* Deputy Security Shift Leader duties include covering Security Shift Leader absences and acting as the responsible person for a nominated team, with strong engagement, decision-making and communication skills.
* Maintain a 4 on 4 off rotational shift cycle: four 12-hour days, four days off, four 12-hour nights, four days off.
* Work pattern: dayshift 07:00–19:00; nightshift 19:00–07:00; security officers follow the same 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights.
* Undertake Security Industry Authority training, First Aid and other training as determined by Security/Estates Management.

Qualifications
* Valid SIA Door Supervisor and/or CCTV license; First Aid qualification is advantageous.
* Experience within the security industry; experience in the education sector is desirable.
* Full driving licence preferred or willingness to obtain a full driving licence.
