Telent is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to join the Wireless Telecommunications team within the Networks Services division. This key role involves working on Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) of land, shaping our offerings across markets such as Telecommunications and Utilities. The position offers a hybrid/Agile working model, combining remote work with travel to various Telent offices across the UK. A full UK driving license is highly advantageous.
The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for securing Land Referencing work and ensuring high-quality delivery to Telecoms and Utility clients, within agreed timescales and budgets.
What you'll do:
1. Support and lead business development opportunities.
2. Identify and secure new work and utility projects.
3. Assist in commercial/financial management and reporting.
4. Draft and implement best practices for land assembly/referencing services.
5. Coordinate between clients, engineering, design, commercial, and field staff.
6. Support project meetings and take ownership of delivery actions.
7. Ensure technical excellence in land assembly, application documents, and related services.
8. Manage escalations and track project progress.
9. Implement quality assurance measures and monitor QEHS and contractual performance.
10. Develop and deliver technical training programs.
11. Promote and grow Land Referencing services.
12. Support business development and train new utility service teams.
13. Collaborate with delivery partners and manage project risks.
14. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and cost reduction.
15. Ensure adherence to processes, resource plans, and client requirements.
Who you are:
A proactive manager with experience in Land Referencing, CPOs, DCOs, TWAOs, and Hybrid Bills. Proven success in securing contracts and managing utility or telecom projects. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, commercial management, and client outreach. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach are essential.
Key requirements:
* Experience with land referencing related to CPOs, DCOs, TWAOs, and Hybrid Bills.

* Knowledge of legal interests/rights/restrictions.
* Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
* Effective communication skills.
