Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a Leaving Care Team based in Cheshire West and Chester.
About the job:
The organization is hiring social workers for the Leaving Care Team (Supporting Independence Team) within the permanency hub, working with young people aged 15 to 25 in Cheshire West and Chester. The role involves supporting looked after children through care and pathway planning to develop independent living skills. Candidates should live nearby, as regular office work is required. Accommodation or travel costs are not covered, and newly qualified social workers are not suitable.
What will your responsibilities be?
1. Provide support to children, families, and connected persons under care orders
2. Assist young people leaving care in developing resilience and independence
3. Ensure child-centered decision-making processes
4. Manage a diverse and complex caseload effectively
5. Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding and child protection
6. Collaborate with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children

11. Qualified Social Worker with at least 2 years post-qualified experience
12. Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding
13. Experience in assessment and pathway planning with looked after children
14. Ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload

16. Commitment to child-centered practice
17. Knowledge of DoLS and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (advantageous but not essential)
