Role Title: Community Coach - Nottingham Salary: £25,060 per annum Contract: Fixed Term Location: Nottingham City We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Community Coach to join the British Cycling Participation Team working in Nottingham. This role will be based in the Nottingham area therefore applicants must live within 30 minutes of this location. About British Cycling British Cycling exists to bring the joy of cycling to everyone. We are working towards our three key priorities outlined in our strategy ; to support and grow the sport to make cycling more inclusive and accessible, to lead on the world stage by winning and winning well, and to drive social impact by tackling inequalities through providing opportunities. What will you be doing? Planning, leading and delivering entry level and multi-disciplinary cycling activities in local community hub, club and after school settings, with a focus on children & young people, families and women and girls. Designing, planning and delivering progressive coaching activity to support the identification and development of talented young people, focusing on supporting and enabling rider progression through to community, club and events. Establishing relationships with community groups and organisations to identify and recruit new volunteers to become community champions. Working closely with regional and national British Cycling colleagues to provide communities with access to education, training and CPD. Developing community hubs and school clubs through coached activity. Planning, delivering and evaluating coaching programmes ensuring they reflect the British Cycling’s Strategy, regional delivery plan and local partnership plan. Monitoring and reporting on the performance of community delivery and behaviour change interventions, including the collation of participation data. What we’re looking for: Good education background with a minimum of five GCSEs or equivalent, Ideally, a current and valid Cycling Coaching qualification. Relevant knowledge and experience of sports development, including club and coach development. Significant expertise in sports coaching; establishing delivering and coordinating coaching programmes for participants. Experience of coaching in a wide range of environments including schools, clubs and community settings. Excellent planning and organisational skills. Hold a valid driving license What are the perks?
