Women’s Specialist Worker Location: Haringey Recovery Service Working Hours: 37 (Full-time) Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £28,690 - £34,730 Make a real difference in your community We are looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Women’s Specialist Support Coordinator to join the Haringey Recovery Service. In this crucial role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to women in recovery from alcohol and substance use. About the Role You will offer one-to-one support, advocacy, and safety planning delivered both within the recovery service and out in the community. You will also continue providing support to women accessing the recovery service as they progress in their recovery journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to empower women, promote safety and resilience, and make a meaningful difference in their recovery journey. What You’ll Do Provide tailored, trauma-informed support and advocacy to women, prioritising safety, empowerment, and well-being. Conduct risk assessments and collaboratively develop personalised support plans. Work in partnership with multi-agency services, including housing, social care, and legal support. Facilitate group sessions and workshops to build confidence, knowledge, and coping strategies. Maintain accurate records, case notes, and documentation in line with organisational policies. Raise awareness of best practices in supporting women affected by abuse, trauma, and complex needs. Deliver culturally sensitive and intersectional support. Provide ongoing community-based support to women engaging with the recovery service. To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need: Experience supporting women facing domestic abuse, homelessness, trauma, or other complex needs. Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk management. Excellent communication, engagement, and advocacy skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multi-agency environments. A non-judgmental, empathetic, and empowering approach to working with vulnerable women. An understanding of trauma-informed and intersectional practices.
