About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Major Projects Manager to lead the safe, compliant, high-quality and commercially successful delivery of major installation projects across the UK.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing site readiness, installation execution, quality assurance, and progress validation. You will act as the single point of accountability for major projects during the delivery phase, ensuring contractual obligations, programme milestones, quality standards, and budget expectations are consistently achieved.
This position plays a key role in protecting project margin by preventing defects, reworks, delays, and handover disputes — while ensuring accurate and timely monthly applications for payment.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Management
Lead the day-to-day management of the Major Projects delivery function
Act as the primary operational contact for all Major Projects
Provide first-line escalation for site-related operational and quality issues
Work closely with commercial and technical teams to ensure smooth project execution
Maintain accurate progress, quality and installation records within CRM/ERP systems
Monitor and address installation-driven margin erosion
Prepare and submit accurate monthly applications for payment, supported by verified site progress and quality documentation
Site & Installation Oversight
Conduct site surveys, measures and pre-start inspections
Confirm site readiness including access, storage and third-party works
Manage on-site installation activities in line with contractual drawings and specifications
Enforce installation quality standards
Record inspections, manage corrective actions, and coordinate rectification works
Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety standards
Validate installation progress and quality status for payment applications
Support snagging resolution and formal project handover
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
Proven experience managing Major Projects within construction or façade sectors
Strong background in site-based delivery and quality control
Experience inspecting, validating and signing off installed works
Technical expertise in façade systems and automatic door systems
Installation experience with door automation products
High level of product knowledge across aluminium and automated systems
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contractual milestones
Qualifications & Requirements
SMSTS
CSCS
Full UK Driving Licence
ADSA BS/EN Authorised Technician (desirable – training available if required)
Proficient in MS Office
Physically fit and able to undertake site-based duties
