Job Title - Prison Bricklaying Lecturer
Salary - Up to £37,480 (FTE) Approx £29,984.45 Pro Rata
Location - Isle of Portland, Dorset

Hours - 30 hours a week
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Bricklaying Lecturer to join a dynamic team supporting offenders to gain their qualifications.

Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a creative and inspiring Lecturer who can deliver engaging classes to learners who are based within the prison.
Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning programmes that meet learners' needs.
Ensure compliance with internal and external quality assurance requirements and relevant strategic and delivery plans.
Deliver challenging and stimulating sessions informed by learner needs and performance data.
Set, monitor, and review SMART targets using Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
Maintain accurate learner records, including enrolments, progress, completions, and withdrawals.
Support learning administration, including assessments, schemes of work, course reviews, and inductions.
Promote high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning materials.
Liaise with external agencies and awarding bodies as required
Essential Criteria:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C or above.
A relevant degree or professional qualification appropriate to the role.
Experience supporting learners to re-engage with education.
A recognised teaching qualification.
All applicants for teaching roles must hold a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to achieve one within the first two years of employment, with support from the College.
