What the Reception Teacher will do The Reception Teacher will design and lead high-quality continuous provision, deliver daily phonics and language sessions, and lead early mathematics and physical development activities. The Reception Teacher will use systematic observation to assess children against the Early Learning Goals, plan meaningful next steps and share progress with families. The Reception Teacher will support transition into Year 1 and will contribute to whole-school curriculum conversations that begin in preparation for January 2026 and continue after January 2026. Candidate profile — Reception Teacher We are looking for a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS (or equivalent), strong EYFS practice and a reflective approach. The Reception Teacher should be warm, organised and confident in both adult-led and child-initiated pedagogy. The Reception Teacher will be expected to begin pre-term planning ahead of January 2026, to attend the induction week in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Reception Teacher.
