Teaching Assistant - Manor Primary Academy
Fierté Multi-Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work at Manor Primary Academy. Manor Primary is a warm and nurturing village school where we are committed to understanding every child as an individual and meeting their needs effectively so that they can realise their limitless possibilities.
Overview
Grade 3 FTE £25,185 – actual salary £6,875 (pro rata £573). Fixed Term to 31st December initially. Part time, term time only. Days of Work: Thursday and Friday. Hours of Work: 12 hours per week (8:50am – 12:00pm and 12:30pm – 3:20pm). Start Date: As soon as possible. Responsible to: Headteacher.
Responsibilities
* Be a pro-active, flexible and positive team member.
* Be enthusiastic and empathetic with children in their care, adapting to their needs.
* Support children in their play and ensure a safe and orderly environment.
* Deal with issues with patience following the school’s positive behaviour policy.
* Encourage children’s communication and positive interaction.
* Support the teacher in preparation, maintenance and tidying of resources.
* Under the direction of a teacher, deliver support for individual children and their education plans.
* Be willing to undertake relevant professional development including paediatric first aid training.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
