Here at GXO, we are looking for a Shift Manager to join our team in Daventry, helping to support our Daikin contract. You will play a vital role in ensuring colleagues meet, or exceed, their operational requirements within specific contracts. You will also work alongside management to supervise warehouse-related processes and associated warehouse functions as required.
This is a full-time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday, with the occasional weekend work on a rotational shift pattern of 06:00 – 14:30 and 14:00 – 22:30.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Monitor, motivate, and evaluate Warehouse Operatives performances to ensure customer expectations are being achieved/exceeded.
* Ensure that training and development requirements of Warehouse Operatives are carried out efficiently.
* Be conversant with site Health and Safety requirements and ensure all members of staff and visitors are compliant with these requirements.
* Respond to and deal with customer or colleague communication, often through emails or phone calls.
* Deal with the initial stages of colleague welfare, and ensure all are treated fairly.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Previous supervisory experience within a similar environment.
* An analytical and logical approach to problem solving.
* The ability to work on own initiative as well as lead a team.
* Flexible with work hours and days, with the availability to work overtime when required.
* Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to develop and coach teams to ensure excellent performance.
