JOB FUNCTION:
The Cobham Security Manager is the main security point of contact at the training ground, responsible for planning and delivering a 24/7 protective security operation. Reporting into the Senior Security Manager, you will be responsible for implementing, managing and enhancing access control, asset protection and security awareness standards. You will manage a team of contracted security supervisors and officers, setting and checking standards and driving improvements. You will ensure compliance and best practice underpin the service delivery.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Report to the Senior Security Manager, ensuring agreed security standards and principles are championed at the training ground.
* Manage and lead the security team at Cobham ensuring protective security operations are working effectively and to the highest standard.
* Collect and analyse management information and use this to identify trends, areas for improvement and examples of good practice. Create monthly reports for Senior Security Manager.
* Create assignment instructions, standard operating procedures, incident management plans, event security plans and training plans. Ensure the teams can access the information, and that there is a framework for familiarisation and understanding.
* Implement a program of improvement, utilising training sessions, workshops and tabletops to develop the teams and enhance individual performance.
* Conduct site surveys and audits, identifying areas of vulnerability and developing effective mitigation plans.
* Develop effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, showcasing the department’s capacity and willingness to solve problems and help other departments to better manage security risks in their operation.
* Work with department colleagues, across the site, to conduct effective and timely investigations into confidential incidents.
* Review operations and manning at all levels with the intent to maximise the team’s efforts and ensure officers are working effectively.
* Lead on all aspects of security technology:
o CCTV
o Access Control systems
o Visitor Management system
o Contractor management system
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:
* Team operations are compliant with agreed policies and procedures, including but not limited to access Control, CCTV, Visitor management
* Preventable security breaches
* Effective collaboration with other departments
* The contracted security provider operates to the highest standards and meet their KPIs
* Undertake regular security audits
* Deliver costed security plans
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
You will have demonstrable experience of:
* Managing complex security operations
* Leading and developing a diverse team of supervisors and officers
* Making effective improvements to existing processes
* Developing effective working relationships with other departments
* Liaising with and reporting to senior executives
* Articulating the requirements and reasoning for certain security standards
* Experience of managing and working with 3rd party workforce providers
Professional Qualifications:
* Hold SIA Door Supervisor licence
* Holds recognised security standard qualification
* Desirable – holds IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
* To embody the club’s BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge) in the approach to work and interaction with others
* To adhere to the club’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.

* To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
