YOUR ROLE
Due to continued growth and new business opportunities, this is an exciting time to join our operation at Daventry. We are looking for a Key Operative where you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the operation. You will assist with planning, organising, implementing, and managing team activity, while ensuring operational targets and customer service levels are consistently met.
This is a Monday to Friday role, with flexibility required to meet the operational needs of the business. This role pays £13.27 per hour.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Follow and support daily operational plans to meet volume and SLA targets
Ensure orders are picked, loaded, and despatched accurately and on time
Lead daily team briefings and communicate workload and priorities
Keep your area organised, safe, and productive
Monitor performance and implement corrective actions when needed
Support labour planning during low-volume periods
Motivate, coach, and support the team, managing productivity, timekeeping, and absence
Step up to Team Leader in their absence, with support from Shift Management
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Experience in a warehouse or operational environment, ideally in a senior operative or step-up role
Confidence leading people, setting priorities, and driving performance
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to problem-solve under pressure
Good understanding of health & safety and operational standards
