IT Manager (Part-Time)
£17.00 per hour

We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable IT Manager to join our management team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will oversee and maintain the organisation's IT systems, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and effective in supporting our staff and services.

The IT Manager role
* Ensure effective, safe, and compliant IT systems across the organisation.
* Act as the organisation's Data Protection Officer (DPO) and oversee data protection compliance, including GDPR.
* Work with the Director of Finance, IT & Compliance to develop and deliver IT strategy.
* Liaise with external IT providers and suppliers to ensure effective solutions, value for money, and high-quality service delivery.
* Oversee hardware, software, subscriptions, and licensing to ensure systems are up to date and cost-effective.
* Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity practices in line with best practice.
* Manage IT budgets and contribute to the budget-setting process.
The Ideal Candidate
* Educated to NVQ level 5 (or equivalent) in IT, or able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity best practice, and GDPR.
* Proven experience supporting and implementing IT across multiple sites.
* Experience of working with external IT providers and suppliers.
* Knowledge of managing subscriptions, licensing, and application updates.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* Experience as a Data Protection Officer (desirable).
