The Role The role of a SCaaS Sales Director at TechPoint is crucial for electronics Supply Chain as a Service (SCaaS), managing the complex process in driving growth, optimising the process for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, building relationships and expanding the customer base. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand the customer base. Explore new markets and opportunities for business growth and identify and pursue business opportunities through networking and partnerships. Drive order intake activities for new logos or new projects from existing key customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients. Understand client requirements and propose suitable supply chain solutions and address customer concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Sell our SCaaS solutions offering: supplier relationship management, strategic procurement, planning and demand management, inventory reduction, kitting and distribution, KanBan and Consignment agreements, RMA management. Selling supply chain solutions to C-level: Finance Directors, VPs, Managing Directors and General Managers of potential clients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, internal sales, production and quality assurance to ensure customer requirements are met. Provide feedback from clients to internal teams for service improvements. Prepare detailed proposals and quotations for significant opportunities from potential clients. Customise supply chain offerings based on client requirements. Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients. Work closely with finance teams to ensure contracts support positive cash flow and working capital is not over stretched. Regularly review objectives and sales targets and work towards achieving or exceeding them. Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with clients. Collaborate with the internal sales team to close deals and generate revenue. Prepare regular sales and business development reports for the management team. Analyse sales data and trends to make informed business decisions. Ensure customer data and activity is properly recorded using the CRM system. Create and manage own leads and pipeline, being proactive to open doors to drive and grow new business opportunities. About you Self starter: ability to demonstrate willingness to go after the business from week one, using industry experience and skills to meet new clients. Sales Techniques: Proficiency in sales methodologies, negotiation, and closing deals and proven ability to identify cross - selling opportunities across various company sites and technology offerings. Customer Orientation: Commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address client’s supply chain management needs and challenges. Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within the organisation. Subject matter expert : in supply chain management and electronics industry segments. Market Analysis: Ability to conduct market research, analyse data, and identify market trends. Financial Understanding: understanding of key financial metrics, budgets, and pricing strategies. Profitability : ability to win business to enhance company’s gross margin. Resilience: ability to bounce back from setbacks and maintain motivation in the face of challenges. CRM and Sales Tools: Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales tools for efficient pipeline management and reporting. Experience A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field or electronics is preferred but not essential, experience in supporting core markets -Medical, Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, Automotive. 5years’ experience in supply chain management and business development roles, especially in the electronics industry. Strong sales skills and the ability to negotiate effectively are crucial, as well as the ability to close SCaaS deals and secure contracts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for building relationships with clients, presenting proposals, and networking. The ability to travel, expected 75% to support the potential new and existing customers base.
