Volunteer Social Media and Marketing Co-Ordinator
The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media and marketing strategies to raise awareness of our organisation, engage our audience, and drive support for our programs. You will work closely with our team to create compelling content that reflects our mission and engages our community.
* Develop and execute a social media strategy that aligns with our organisational goals and objectives.
* Create, curate, and manage engaging content across various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
* Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities, respond to comments and messages, and build relationships with followers.
* Design eye-catching graphics, videos, and promotional materials using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
* Conduct market research to identify trends, audience preferences, and effective messaging strategies.
* Collaborate with team members to promote events, campaigns, and fundraising activities through social media and email marketing.
* Track and analyse social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
* Assist in developing and maintaining a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and engagement.
* Write and distribute newsletters and other marketing materials to keep supporters informed and engaged.
* Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep our organisation relevant and engaging.
Skills
* Proven experience in social media management and marketing, preferably within the non-profit sector.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong creative skills with experience in content creation and graphic design.
* Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Google Analytics) and the ability to interpret data.
* Basic knowledge of SEO principles and email marketing strategies is a plus.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
* Passion for social causes and a commitment to the mission of The Calm Corner CIC.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
As a minimum, we require 5-10 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.
