My client, a diverse, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based near the lively city of Liverpool.
Essential Criteria:
1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
2. Demonstrable experience of having worked in a consultancy-based role
3. Hold Chartered Engineer status, or actively working to attain this
4. A good understanding of steel and concrete design, with reference to Eurocodes and similar framework guidelines
5. Commercial awareness of project delivery
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
7. Standard Security Clearance level (or the willingness to undergo the appropriate vetting procedures)
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to possess the following skills:
8. Knowledge of blast, seismic, or other dynamic analysis
9. Structural design of aluminium or glass
10. Awareness of computational fluid dynamics and/or non-linear finite element analysis

11. Liaise with a number of clients to establish project requirements and deliver the desired outcomes
12. Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders, internal and external, to develop design strategies
13. Deliver design duties when working on a range of design and build projects, adhering to performance specifications, attending sites and monitoring compliance requirements
14. Support an array of contractors to ensure construction works comply with project specifications
15. Work with manufacturers to design and develop new products
16. Deliver projects to the highest of standards, completed on time and within budget
17. Supervise the completion of structural calculations
18. Complete vehicle dynamics assessments in relation to the specification and design of hostile vehicle mitigation
19. Mentoring a team of junior colleagues
