Job Overview Job purpose Lagwell Insulation is a family business trading for over 30 years. We service the commercial heating and ventilation, installing thermal and acoustic insulation and metal cladding. Our cladding is fabricated on our premises within our dedicated metal workshop, providing a bespoke service to your clients. It is then fitted by thermal insulation engineers to the insulated service on site. We work predominantly in, but not limited to; Schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, offices, renewables/energy, banks, retail outlets, MOD and airports. Your apprentice programme will focus on the following. As a Sheet Metal Apprentice, you’ll attain base manufacturing skills in the form of SVQ Levels 2 & 3 NC in Manufacturing & Fabrication. Over the course of four years, there will be a mix of attending college and working in onsite, where you will work closely with our supervisors and gain hands-on experience. Enthusiasm for engineering and a determination to learn. Self starter and motivated person. Ability to get on with colleagues and customers Commitment to upholding high health and safety standards Responsibility, reliability and dedication. Excellent communication skills with the ability to use your own initiative and a strong drive to succeed are all essential. What qualifications or qualities are required? Candidates should be enthusiastic team members with a natural interest and aptitude for fabrication engineering. Hold a minimum of 3 National 5’s (or Equivalent) at level C or above such as Maths/ English/ Science or Tech Studies and/or a relevant NC qualification.
