Hours/Weeks: 18. 50 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent - Part Time About the role: We are currently seeking a Lecturer in T-Level Engineering (Electrical) to join our Engineering department at The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through: Purpose & Planning - Deliver engaging, up-to-date learning experiences that lead to learner success, supported by thorough lesson planning and resource preparation. Classroom & Behaviour Management - Create a safe, structured learning environment by managing behaviour, setting clear expectations, and ensuring health and safety compliance. Teaching & Learning Delivery - Deliver dynamic, inclusive lessons with clear objectives, differentiated activities, and constructive feedback, while adapting based on learner input and reflection. Assessment & Administration - Conduct initial assessments, set and mark assignments, maintain accurate records, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support learner progress. Professionalism & Development - Engage in continuous professional development, contribute to course improvement, uphold safeguarding and equality standards, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. About you: Qualifications & Industry Standards - Hold or be working towards a teaching qualification (e. g. QTLS), Level 2 in Maths and English, and Assessor Award, with up-to-date vocational skills. A background in Electrical Engineering Theory is essential, with a background in Mechanical Engineering desirable. Teaching & Delivery Skills - Ability to teach across vocational areas and learner levels using varied approaches, with strong presentation and communication skills. Professional Knowledge - In-depth, current knowledge of relevant technologies, quality assurance systems, and health and safety practices in the vocational field. Attributes & Mindset - Motivated by learner success, reflective, flexible, and committed to continuous professional development and maintaining industry relevance. Teamwork & Organisation - Strong organisational and time management skills, a collaborative team player, and confident in data analysis and problem-solving within a target-driven environment.
