Job Description
New Directions Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled TA who is passionate about supporting young learners and making a meaningful impact across the primary phase.
The Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. You may be required to lead small group interventions, provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, and occasionally cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
2. Leading small group work and intervention sessions to raise attainment
3. Providing 1:1 support where required
4. Assisting with planning and preparing learning resources
5. Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
6. Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ social and emotional development

The Ideal Candidate
11. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
12. Previous experience working within a primary school setting
13. Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
14. Confident supporting phonics, literacy, and numeracy
15. Positive, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Requirements
16. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
17. Employment references covering the last 5 years
