Overview
Our Guest Service Assistants are responsible for ensuring every guest receives a safe, outstanding experience. This role reports directly to the Guest Service Manager and is part of a team based from our attractive hotel in SY2 6LG Shrewsbury. Excellent customer service is essential. Guest Service Assistant duties include:
Responsibilities
* Working on a busy reception desk checking in and checking out guests
* Working on a bar which is part of the reception desk
* Keeping the breakfast buffet fully stocked and clearing tables and looking after up to 150 guests at breakfast as well as cleaning of the Kitchen and back of house areas
* Basic cleaning of front of house areas
* Cooking simple evening meals for up to 10-30 covers
* Taking food orders and waiting on, looking after evening guests dining
* Dealing with conferences
* Health and safety as part of your everyday tasks
* Small maintenance jobs that may occur such as replacement of batteries in door locks, replacing broken TVs and batteries in remotes and changing lightbulbs
* Dealing with guests requests and complaints as they occur

Qualifications and experience
Ideally, you will have some previous experience in a fast-paced, customer facing role and passion for outstanding Customer Service. Due to the nature of the role the ability to anticipate guests needs is highly desirable. You will also be comfortable using a range of technology, including MS Office.
