WHAT TO EXPECT
As Programme Technology Centre Leader (TCL) for Body Chassis Engineering, you’ll be responsible for supporting all Body Chassis Agile Squad members to deliver their programme content and meet all defined technical and attribute targets. As a member of an On-Cycle Programme Group team and central point of contact for Body Chassis in your Group, you’ll be involved with the integration of all Technology Centre content and related responsibilities on the programme and act as single conduit between the On-Cycle Programme Domain and the On-Cycle Architecture/Unit and Off-Cycle Tech Centre Domains.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Ensuring all Body Chassis Squad members have the techical skills and capabilities to meet all defined technical targets and attributes for their content delivery
2. Ensuring robust integration of Body Chassis content and application of Tech Centre Body of Knowledge and expertise, strongly linking the Off-Cycle Tech Centre skills into the ‘How’ challenges.
3. Monitoring Squad structure, defining/facilitating correct resource, skills and toolset application, in conjuction with the Programme Group Lead (PGL) and Technical Group Lead (TGL)
4. Guiding the integration of all Tech Centre content at Programme Group level, supporting the squads in the technical delivery
5. Threat spotting to identify risks to Engineering robustness and delivery, ensuring Engineering goodness/integrity is being delivered through each Sprint and Product Increment, in partnership with the TGL.
6. Supporting technical issue resolution within the Group, in partnership with the TGL, particularly leading ‘blue on blue’ cross-Group/cross-Product Group and Chapter issue resolution and arbitration where appropriate
7. Leading the integration and issue management of carryover/re-use parts on the Programme
and Unit/Architecture activity where this is not covered in the Groups/Squads
8. Facilitating Product Group TCL support with the team and step in as pseudo Product Group TCL where smaller programme content does not drive dedicated support.
9. Embedding lessons learned on Tech Centre delivery from previous programmes into your Group’s NTEI content
WHAT YOU NEED
10. Experience of delivering projects in an automotive or manufacturing environment
11. Ability to present complex information across all levels and cultures
12. Excellent team leading capability is essential. Ability to organise and drive the team to resolve cross functional issues
13. Good level of technical knowledge and a broad understanding of body and chassis interfaces into other vehicle functions
14. Strong project management capabilities with excellent implementation skills and the ability to multitask
15. High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision
16. Understanding and adoption of Agile Principles
