Hays are working with a fantasticpany based in Telford who are looking for Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient coordination of logistics operations, with a strong focus on customermunication, shipment management, and service delivery. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely andpliant movement of goods while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Your new role
As a Logistics Coordinator, your role will involve:
1. Manage directmunication with customers during packing and shipment phases.
2. Work collaboratively with Customer Experience teams to improve service delivery.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, ensuring performance and cost-effectiveness.
4. Ensure all logistics activitiesply with relevant local and international regulations.
5. Support logistics strategy initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
6. Assist with the transition of European operations into the Telford facility.
7. Coordinate packaging, dispatch, and all associated documentation.
8. Monitor and chase customer collections to ensure timely shipments.
9. Maintain and update Work in Progress (WIP) for Service and Spares.
10. Support customer account setup by gathering and managing required information.
11. Escalate issues andplaints where necessary.
12. Deliver against set KPIs and performance targets.
13. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
14. Support stock and inventory management in collaboration with the Stores Department.
15. Adhere topany Quality Management System (QMS) procedures at all times.
16. Undertake additional duties within the scope of the role as required by the business.
What you'll need to succeed
17. Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
18. Experience in a customer-facing role.
19. Strongmunication skills (verbal and written).
20. Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
21. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
22. Understanding of global INCOTERMS.
Desirable:
23. Experience within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
24. Knowledge of Sage 50, Sage 200, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
25. Experience in shipment coordination, dispatch, or supply chain operations.
