Electronic Technician Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an Electronic Technician to join our OE team, where you’ll support the assembly and testing of high- quality electronic and mechanical products for delivery to our customers. This role will be based at our Bishops Cleeve site. The Role: As an Electronic Technician, you’ll play a key role in the assembly and testing of electronic products and sub- assemblies, ensuring they are built and verified in line with engineering drawings, specifications and controlled procedures. Working as part of the OE team, you’ll assemble components using the correct tools and documentation, supporting the manufacture of final units ready for customer delivery. You’ll carry out testing activities, including environmental and final testing, ensuring all products meet required quality standards before progressing through inspection and release. Alongside this, you’ll maintain accurate records through business systems and ensure compliance with production schedules, processes and safety standards. This is a hands- on role where attention to detail, precision and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience from a manufacturing environment, ideally working with electronic or mechanical products. You’ll be confident interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions, with strong attention to detail and manual dexterity when working with small, precision components. You’ll be comfortable working to deadlines and performance targets, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and learning. An apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline would be advantageous, along with experience in aerospace or a regulated environment. Exposure to antenna assembly, RF systems or Part 21G/ CofC environments would also be beneficial.
