Paraplanning Manager
Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Salary: £65,000-£70,000
We are seeking an experienced Paraplanning Manager to lead and develop our paraplanning function in Harpenden. This is a senior role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership and people-management skills.
The Role
As Paraplanning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality paraplanning support to advisers, managing workflows, and ensuring technical excellence and compliance across the team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing and mentoring a team of paraplanners
2. Overseeing the preparation and quality of suitability reports and financial planning documentation
3. Managing workloads, deadlines, and service standards
4. Acting as a technical lead and point of escalation
5. Supporting process improvements and best practice across the paraplanning function
6. Working closely with advisers, compliance, and senior management
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
7. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a paraplanning management role
8. Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and wider financial planning
9. Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating paraplanning teams
10. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
11. Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders
