Job Description
Do you have the vision, expertise, and drive to lead a hotel through a market-defining transformation? At Fairmont El San Juan Hotel, we’re seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to spearhead our hotel’s repositioning and rebranding journey, ensuring a seamless transition to a new era of luxury.

What you will be doing:
1. Prepare and administer the hotel’s sales & marketing plan and related budget, ensuring integration of the strategic planning process into daily operations to achieve total revenue goals.
2. Lead and develop the sales team to achieve their highest potential in line with our strategic plan and direction.
3. Manage all sales training, set yearly sales targets, quotas, incentive plans, and other learning initiatives to maintain effective sales professionals.
4. Stay informed of competitors’ sales and marketing strategies and respond effectively to secure maximum business for our hotel and company.
5. Identify and develop new sources of business across all market segments to broaden the account base.
6. Ensure guest service delivery exceeds customer expectations through operational collaboration.
7. Maintain regular communication with corporate sales and marketing teams and local hotels, working with Regional DOS&M on synergistic opportunities.
8. Lead sales and marketing efforts with local tourism initiatives to ensure the hotel’s leadership role.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
* Bachelor’s degree and/or Hotel Management degree is an asset.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior sales management within hospitality or related tourism fields.
* Revenue management experience is essential.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and media relations skills.
* Proven leadership and team development results.
* Computer literacy in MS Office and Property Management systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Flexible hours and long working hours sometimes required.
* Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
