We’re now looking for a Commercial Audience Editor to lead on growing reach and engagement across all Guardian Labs commercial content, through innovative use of social media, search and data-led strategies. About the Role As Commercial Audience Editor, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our branded content reaches the widest, most relevant audiences across Guardian platforms and beyond. In this role, you will: Set and monitor KPIs for commercial content campaigns. Use audience insight and trend analysis to guide campaign ideation and execution. Lead on Guardian Labs’ social strategy, ensuring alignment with editorial integrity and Guardian values. Represent the commercial audience team at client meetings and pitches to educate on data-led strategy. Oversee planning and delivery of engaging social media assets across Meta, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Write compelling social copy and advise on influencer and video content strategies. Set up and manage platform promotions using Google Ad Manager and other internal tools. Track campaign performance, report insights, and make recommendations for optimisation. Ensure best SEO practices are applied to commercial content to maximise visibility and organic reach. Collaborate closely with sales, editorial, marketing, and project management teams to innovate audience strategies. About You Experience working in a fast-paced digital environment. Good knowledge of or a demonstrable interest in SEO, social media, AI, and web publishing. Experience in editorial commissioning, with solid sub-editing experience. Numerate and comfortable working with data. Some experience of production processes and content management systems. Competence in using web analytics tools to inform content performance and optimisation. Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
