As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dynamic Reservations Manager to lead our central reservations function and play a key role in driving occupancy and revenue.
Role Overview:
The Reservations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the reservations team & spa reservations, ensuring an efficient booking process and high levels of guest satisfaction. This role is pivotal in managing room inventory, optimising revenue opportunities, and maintaining excellent relationships with guests, corporate clients, and OTAs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the reservations department, ensuring all enquiries (phone, email, online) are handled promptly, professionally, and in line with brand standards.
Monitor and manage room inventory and availability across all channels (direct, OTA, GDS).
Work closely with the Revenue Manager or General Manager to implement rate strategies, promotional activity, and yield management.
Train, coach, and supervise reservations agents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and customer service excellence.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property features, room types, packages, and services to maximise upselling opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel partners.
Ensure accurate data entry and reservation details in the PMS (Property Management System).
Handle group bookings, special requests, and VIP reservations with care and professionalism.
Prepare and analyse reservations reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Support the front office and sales teams with forecasting and business intelligence.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a hotel reservations role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Must be able to work every other Saturday due to business
Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera, Protel, Guestline).
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of rate structures, revenue management principles, and distribution channels.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
Strong organisational skills and ability to lead a small team.
Desirable:
Experience within an independent or boutique hotel setting.
Knowledge of OTA extranets and channel management systems.
Familiarity with CRM systems and guest journey mapping.
